Dr. Felix Cheung now seeing orthopaedic patients in South Charleston

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Patients in the Kanawha Valley and surrounding region now have greater access to specialized orthopaedic oncology and joint replacement care as Felix H. Cheung, M.D., is now seeing patients at Marshall Health Network’s 414 Greenway Avenue location in South Charleston.

Cheung specializes in orthopaedic oncology and orthopaedic surgery, treating both benign and malignant bone and soft tissue tumors, as well as a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. His expertise includes limb sparing surgical reconstruction, metastatic disease to bone, fracture care and total joint replacement. As the only fellowship-trained orthopaedic oncologist in southern West Virginia, Cheung and Marshall Orthopaedics are committed to ensuring patients have access to the highest level of specialized care without having to travel far from home.

“Bringing our services to South Charleston means patients can access specialized orthopaedic and oncology care closer to home,” Cheung said. “Early diagnosis and advanced treatment options are key to better outcomes—whether it’s preserving joint function or treating bone and soft tissue tumors. The sooner we intervene, the better we can help patients regain mobility and quality of life.”

Cheung joined the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine as clinical faculty in 2008 and now serves as associate professor of orthopaedic surgery; vice chair; and chief of orthopaedic oncology.
