Marshall heart specialists join cardiology care team at HIMG campus

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Interventional cardiologists Mehiar O. El-Hamdani, M.D., and Jason P. Mader, D.O., have joined heart failure specialist Carlos Rueda, M.D., in seeing patients at Marshall Health Network’s HIMG Cardiology office. Together with Jaime Dixon, FNP-BC, Shari Wiley, APRN, FNP-BC, and Kristen Honaker, FNP-BC, this expert team delivers a full spectrum of cardiovascular care—from preventive services and diagnostic testing to advanced therapies and minimally invasive procedures.
“Continuity of care is our priority for every patient,” said Larry D. Dial, M.D., chief physician executive for Marshall Health Network and vice dean for clinical affairs at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. “By bridging the Marshall cardiologists with our advanced practitioners at HIMG, we’re ensuring patients receive the same trusted, expert care they’ve come to rely on—while strengthening our region’s network of care and keeping high-quality heart services close to home.”Cardio
El-Hamdani and Mader bring extensive experience in catheter-based treatments for coronary artery disease, structural heart disease and other complex cardiac conditions. They also offer advanced care for patients with blood clots, shortness of breath, chest pain and complex heart conditions that may require specialized procedures. Their expertise complements Rueda’s focus on managing advanced heart failure, offering patients coordinated, expert care in a familiar setting.
