Marshall Health Network welcomes new breast oncologist and breast surgeon

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall Health Network and the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine are pleased to announce the addition of Dominika Dziadecki, M.D., a fellowship-trained breast oncologist and breast surgeon, to their multidisciplinary cancer care team.

Dziadecki specializes in breast surgical oncology, a field dedicated to the surgical management of both benign and malignant breast disease, including breast-conserving surgery, mastectomy, sentinel lymph-node biopsy and advanced oncoplastic techniques. She joins Marshall Health Network’s oncology program at Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center, where she works alongside fellow breast surgeons Mary T. Legenza, M.D., and Diane M. Krutzler Berry, M.D. Together with medical and radiation oncologists, plastic and reconstructive surgeons, radiologists and breast-care nurse navigators, the team delivers comprehensive, coordinated care—from diagnosis and surgery to reconstruction and survivorship—using state-of-the-art technologies and evidence-based approaches.

“Comprehensive, expert care is essential for patients facing breast disease,” said Legenza, medical director of the Edwards Cancer Institute and professor and chair of oncology at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. “Dr. Dziadecki’s strong background in breast surgical oncology enhances our ability to provide the highest quality care close to home. Her addition further strengthens our commitment to delivering compassionate, multidisciplinary treatment options for women and men alike.”

Dziadecki earned her medical degree from Poznan University of Medical Sciences in Poznan, Poland, and completed her general surgery residency at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. She went on to complete a breast surgical oncology fellowship at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, where she gained advanced training in the multidisciplinary care of breast cancer patients and risk-reducing procedures for high-risk patients.

Dziadecki is now accepting new patients and referrals. To schedule an appointment, please call Edwards Comprehensive Cancer Center in Huntington at 304.399.6500. For more information, visit edwardscancerinstitute.org/services/breast-oncology
