Marshall Health Network opens new orthopaedic clinic at Valley Health Pea Ridge Medical Complex

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Marshall Health Network recently opened a new orthopaedic clinic inside the Valley Health Pea Ridge Medical Complex in Huntington, expanding access to expert care for joint, spine, sports medicine and hand conditions.

Services include evaluation, treatment and ongoing care for joint and musculoskeletal conditions as well as sports-related injuries. Weekday sports medicine walk-in care is also offered in partnership with Valley Health.

Five Marshall orthopaedic surgeons will be seeing patients at the new facility. Offering joint replacement and revision surgery is Matthew Bullock, D.O., associate professor of orthopaedic surgery at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. Dana Lycans, M.D., associate professor, will provide sports medicine and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of the hip and knee. Jeffrey Kim, M.D., assistant professor, will offer back and neck care. Delivering specialized hand and upper extremity care are orthopaedic surgeons Mohammad Hammad, M.D., and Suhirad Khokhar, M.D, both of whom are assistant professors.

Nurse Practitioners Megan Midkiff, FNP-BC, Janet Roe, FNP-C, Tabitha Spence, FNP-C and Courtney Jordan, FNP-C, along with Physician Assistant Alyssa Gregory, PA-C, will also be providing care. Physician Assistant Mary Butcher, PA-C, will be seeing patients for sports medicine walk-in care through Valley Health.

“Patients come to us at vulnerable moments — living with pain, recovering from injury or hoping to return to the activities that matter most to them,” said Ali Oliashirazi, M.D., professor and chair of orthopaedic surgery at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine and knee replacement specialist at Marshall Health Network. “Our goal is to meet that hope with care that is both deeply skilled and genuinely convenient. By bringing together expertise in joint replacement, sports medicine, spine care and hand surgery under one roof, we spare patients the burden of navigating recovery alone or piecing it together across multiple locations. Our commitment to excellence is simple: to help every patient achieve the best possible outcome and return to the life they want to live.”

The new clinic is conveniently located at 4270 U.S. Route 60 East, Suite 100 in Huntington. The facilities include an on-site x-ray as well as ample parking to help enhance the patient experience.

For appointments or referrals, please call Marshall Orthopaedics – Pea Ridge at 304-781-3626. In addition to the new location, providers will continue caring for patients at other Marshall Orthopaedics offices throughout the region.
