Marshall Health Network’s Mary Vaughn named WVAPN Conference Nurse Practitioner of the Year for 2025

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Mary Vaughn, M.S., FNP-BC, a nurse practitioner with Marshall Health Network, has been named the West Virginia Advanced Practice Nursing Conference Nurse Practitioner of the Year.
The award recognizes a West Virginia advanced practice registered nurse who demonstrates outstanding clinical care, leadership, and commitment to improving patient outcomes. Vaughn was selected for her dedication to providing high-quality, patient-centered care and her efforts to expand access to health services, particularly in rural and underserved areas.
Vaughn practices at HIMG in Huntington, where she provides comprehensive primary care services. She also serves as a preceptor for nurse practitioner students and plays an active role in mentoring new providers.
Vaughn holds multiple degrees in nursing including an M.S. from West Virginia Wesleyan College. She is also a Major in the United States Air Force with the West Virginia Air National Guard and an active adult leader of Boy Scout Troop 236 in Hurricane, West Virginia.
Vaughn was honored at the WVAPN annual conference last month in Huntington.
