Marshall Health Network welcomes addiction medicine specialist Dr. Holly Nauert

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. Holly Nauert, D.O., a fellowship-trained addiction medicine physician, has joined the team of providers at Marshall Health Network, bringing focused expertise in addiction care, integrated with primary care. She also serves as an assistant professor in the department of family and community health at Marshall University’s Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.

As a family medicine trained physician, Nauert is dedicated to treating the whole person—addressing not only the physical aspects of substance use disorder but also the emotional, behavioral and social factors that contribute to recovery. Through her expertise, Nauert works alongside the care teams at PROACT (Provider Response Organization for Addiction Care and Treatment) and HIMG Primary Care in Huntington to help bridge the gap between primary care and addiction treatment. She provides evidence-based, integrated care that supports patients on their path to healing and long-term wellness.

Nauert completed her medical degree at the University of Pikeville/Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, Kentucky. She completed her family medicine residency training at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, where she also completed a fellowship in addiction medicine. Nauert is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine

“I fell in love with this community during my residency and fellowship training wanted to remain a part of it long term,” said Nauert. “I also enjoy how family medicine is practiced in a rural setting.”

Nauert is accepting new patients and referrals at two locations in Huntington: HIMG Primary Care (304.528.4600), an outpatient department of St. Mary’s Medical Center, located at 3075

U.S. Route 60, and PROACT (304.696.8700), located at 800 20th Street.
