Marshall Health Network welcomes new primary care physicians

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Marshall Health Network is expanding access to high-quality, patient-centered primary care with the addition of four new providers across its health system. 

Mohammed A. Abdulqader, M.D., earned his medical degree from the University of Sharjah College of Medicine in the United Arab Emirates and completed his internal medicine residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. He is a board-certified internal medicine physician dedicated to delivering comprehensive care for adults. Abdulqader brings extensive clinical experience in the prevention, diagnosis and management of complex medical conditions. He is accepting patients at Marshall Internal Medicine in Huntington (304.691.1000). 

Mason E. Dial, M.D., is a native West Virginian and graduate of the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, where he also completed his internal medicine residency. He returns to Marshall Health Network to serve his home community as an internal medicine physician. Dial is accepting new patients at Marshall Internal Medicine in Huntington (304.691.1000) and Teays Valley (304.691.6910). 

Kaitlan S. Harvey, M.D., also earned her medical degree from the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine and completed her family medicine residency at Marshall Health. She now practices at Marshall Family Medicine in Huntington (304.691.1100), providing comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Smita Upadhyay, M.D., M.P.H., is board certified in family medicine and her practice emphasizes comprehensive care of adult patients with a focus on the management of chronic medical issues including diabetes and hypertension. She earned her medical degree from BJ Medical College in Pune, India, and completed her family medicine residency at the University of Louisville in Kentucky. Upadhyay joins Marshall Family Medicine in Huntington (304.691.1100).

Drs. Abdulqader, Dial, Harvey and Upadhyay also have academic appointments as assistant professors at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.  

Each of these physicians is accepting new patients and offers the full spectrum of primary care services, including preventive health visits, chronic disease management and coordination with specialty care.
