Marshall Pediatrics relocates Third Avenue clinic to Barboursville

Ribbon cutting, back-to-school event set for July 31

BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. – Marshall Health has relocated its Third Avenue pediatric clinic to a new, more convenient location at 143 Peyton Street in Barboursville, providing expanded access to pediatric care for families in the region.

To celebrate the move, Marshall Pediatrics will host a ribbon cutting and back-to-school event on Thursday, July 31, from 4 to 6 p.m. This event is open to families and the general public.

“We’re excited to welcome patients and families into our new space,” said Susan L. Flesher, M.D., professor and chair of pediatrics at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. “This move allows us to better serve our growing community with expanded services and a more accessible, family-friendly environment.”

Pediatric care at the new location is provided by general pediatricians and faculty physicians Drs. Brian Dunlap, Christina Hensley, Patricia Lutz, Jay Naegele, Jodi Plumley and Jacqueline Ray. The newly renovated clinic features 15 exam rooms, expanded parking and modern amenities designed to enhance comfort and efficiency for families seeking care such as well-child visits, immunizations and sick visits. Marshall Pediatrics shares the building with other Marshall Health Network providers, including St. Mary’s Women & Family Care.

The July 31 ribbon cutting event will also feature fun activities for children, refreshments and back-to-school giveaways.  Parents will have the opportunity to meet the care team and schedule appointments.
