Marshall Health Network celebrates opening of new pediatric clinic in Barboursville with ribbon cutting, back-to-school event
BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. – Marshall Health Network celebrated the opening of its new Marshall Pediatrics clinic in Barboursville with a ribbon cutting and community back-to-school event on Thursday, July 31. The clinic, located at 143 Peyton Street, relocates pediatric services from the former Third Avenue site in Huntington to a larger, newly renovated space designed to better meet the needs of families in the region.
Pediatric care at the new location is provided by general pediatricians and faculty physicians at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine — Brian Dunlap, M.D., Christina Hensley, M.D., Patricia Lutz, M.D., Jay Naegele, M.D., Jodi M. Plumley, M.D., and Jacqueline Ray,M.D. Services include well and sick visits, immunizations and sports physicals, available by appointment Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The clinic features 15 exam rooms, expanded parking and modern amenities designed to enhance comfort and efficiency. Marshall Pediatrics shares the building with other Marshall Health Network providers, including St. Mary’s Women & Family Care.
“This expanded clinic allows us to care for more children in an environment that is both accessible and welcoming to families,” said Susan L. Flesher, M.D., pediatrician and professor at the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine. “We are proud to continue growing our services alongside the families we serve.”
Following the ribbon cutting, attendees enjoyed tours of the expanded clinic, refreshments and a variety of activities for children, including back-to-school giveaways.
